So after selling my stamp collage of Frida at the Nothing New? exhibition at BRAG I decided to do a repacement for the up coming exhibition at the Childers Art Spacelate this year, this time more a profile rather than a straight on head shot.
Well anyway I decided to enter her into the Agnes Water/1770 Art Festival and guess what I won 1st Prize and a handy $2,500 contribution to my New Mexico Fund.
As exctining as winning, was the fact the judge is a leading curator at the Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) in Brisbane, so it was nice to be recognised by someone well connected in the art world.
