I currently live in Bundaberg a small city in Queensland, Australia, having studied at the National Art School in Sydney, the breeding ground of many of Australia's greats such as Margaret Olley, John Olsen, Martin Sharp, Jeffrey Smart and Max Dupain.

 

Even though I was born in Germany, my artistic career only began when I moved to Australia in 2001, so I identify myself as an Australian artisit but my influences are many and varied.

 

I have a strong connection with symbols and icons of popular culture, figureheads and all things kitsch which can be seen throughout much of work.

 

Whilst I would describe would myself as a Collage Artist I play around with mixed media and occasionally play at being the street artist "Snipz"

My Collage work revolves around using recycled materials, be they old used postage stamps, books and magazines that have been discarded into charity shops, knitting patterns, papers of all sorts, barbie dolls and other toys.
